Super Mario 64, Bob-omb Battlefield, by danzgreentea.
Being a game that I played a lot when I was younger, Super Mario 64’s Bob-omb Battlefield was a level I visited almost as much as I turned my N64 on. I tried to get everything I felt I could fit onto the page (part of the cliff where the Bob-omb King would be is missing, as well as most of the cliff’s spiral); there’s no coins or very many enemies either. Overall, I felt like it came out okay, especially considering it’s been a while since I last played Mario 64.I still haven’t ever spent any real time with Mario 64 — I skipped the N64 entirely, really — and I feel like at some point I need to fire up an emu and get to know it a little. I’ve really enjoyed the GC and Wii takes on the 3D Mario franchise, it’d be good to do my homework.
And, man, there’s just something about a map on notebook paper. Suddenly I’m 8 years old again. Thanks for the submission, danzgreentea!
A wonderful Scabb Island map from gennaio. If you don’t recall, Scabb Island is from the Monkey Island series.
I love it when people say they “just had to” buy my book. Sign of a sane mind, if you ask me.
The other thing people say is that it’s great to be able to read a dead-tree book on the toilet. A market I never knew existed!
Small-statured alcoholics toiling futilely in the endless dark, persecuted by nameless horrors, with only giant wren bone picks engraved with pictures of axlotlmen for comfort until grief-induced madness claims them. Play fucking Dwarf Fortress.

What game is this from? A Fallout clone? Someone’s D&D campaign? No! It’s a concept town map from a “Patriot” community planning to build a community in rural Idaho. They sound like a fun bunch! If you’re interested you can go apply, so long as you pay the $33 application fee. Totally not a scam!
If the map didn’t sell you on the place, check out the Concept illustration of tower condos and perimeter wall house. Stylish!

Welcome Leia!
Third of the deviantArt random request week pieces. Brief from Rae22 was to show Leia’s welcome to the Disney princess line-up since she kind of is one now that Disney bought Star Wars. This took forever to finish with the diseased December we just had but finally done! I went digital since I’ve been colouring this in slowly over the last two weeks and my hands are still stupidly shaky after the flu. Long live the undo button!
Friend of mine does lovely pieces based mostly on Disney. Sure, this isn’t a game map, but I love this picture anyway! Enjoy!
Just when you thought things couldn’t get any dwarfier up in this mother.
Concept for upcoming EPIC The Lugubrious Saga of Dankdiamonds.
